General Aftercare — All Treatments
These guidelines apply to all aesthetic treatments at Westbury Aesthetics. Your practitioner will provide treatment-specific written instructions at the time of your appointment.
If you experience anything unexpected, contact the clinic immediately. Complications arising from treatments performed at our clinic are managed at no additional charge.
✓Keep the treated area clean and avoid touching it unnecessarily
✓Stay well hydrated — drink plenty of water in the days following treatment
✓Avoid strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours
✓Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours
✓Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs for 48 hours
✓Apply SPF 30+ when spending time outdoors
✓Do not apply make-up to the treated area for 6 hours
✓Attend any scheduled follow-up appointments

Anti-Wrinkle Injection Aftercare
First 4 Hours
Remain upright — do not lie flat for at least 4 hours
Avoid rubbing, massaging, or pressing the treated area
Exercise the treated muscles gently (e.g. raise your eyebrows, frown, squint) to help the product settle
First 24 Hours
Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and hot showers
Avoid alcohol consumption
Do not wear hats, headbands, or anything that applies pressure to the forehead
First 2 Weeks
Results begin to appear within 3–5 days, with full effect at 10–14 days
Avoid facial treatments, chemical peels, and microneedling for 2 weeks
Attend your complimentary 14-day review for assessment and optional top-up
If you notice drooping of the eyelid, uneven results, or persistent pain beyond 48 hours, contact the clinic immediately.

When to Contact Us Immediately
While serious complications are rare, contact the clinic without delay if you experience any of the following after treatment:
Increasing pain that is not controlled by over-the-counter painkillers
Blanching (white patches) or dusky/blue discolouration of the skin
Visual disturbance — any change in vision following a filler treatment
Signs of infection — increasing redness, warmth, pus, or fever
Severe or worsening swelling beyond what was discussed
Lumps that are hard, painful, or growing after filler treatment
Any symptom you are concerned about — no question is too small
